Deepika CC2C act acknowledged internationally

Deepika Padukone

After depreciation for her wardrobe and box-office reviews of Chandni Chowk to China, in faraway Hong Kong, Deepika Padukone has earned a lot of admiration finally.

She is the first Bollywood Indian actress to have been nominated in the Best Actress category at the 33rd Hong Kong International Film Festival which will be held from March 22 to April 13.

Deepika, who will be competing with actresses from China, Hong Kong and Korea for the award, is enthralled and mighty excited about it. Surely, considering the fact that the film fared so badly, it feels great to be noticed and nominated at an international level. She feels privileged as she is keen on focusing on her career right now.

She feels it’s her character Meow from China who smoothly indulges in martial arts that may have aroused interest in the jury members. The Chinese look combined with her martial arts training may have got me this award. But whatever it is, she is very happy. Her co-star Akshay Kumar, too, has been invited for the festival. Besides Deepika, Oscar winner A R Rahman has been nominated for his music in Jodhaa Akbar.

Some 300 films from over 50 countries will be screened at the festival including 20 world premieres and 30 Asian movie premieres. The best way to attain success is to get practical and make everything work for you, atleast that seems to be the thought right now with Ranbir Kapoor and his girl Deepika Padukone. Apparently, it is heard that Ranbir recently said that he would go in for a good film than his relationship and this was backed strongly by Deepika too. Both of them are keen on focusing on their careers right now given the big line up of movies they have so love can wait for them.

Let us see how long this will last then…
